Historic Map Works

Residential Genealogy
I recently discovered this source for old maps and atlases. The website is: http://www.historicmapworks.com/ Go to the website and click on the "About" tab for a complete description of what is available.
Land atlases published in the 19th and 20th century contain land ownership information, business directories, biographical information, and in some cases pictures of families and public buildings.
Although you can view this information at the website and order printed copies, the Library Edition is available through the Family Search website in the library and access there allows downloading of high resolution images.
Check it out, I found some very valuable information for my research of Benton County, Arkansas.
I will also be providing additional information on land records at our March meeting.
