COME
JOIN US FOR OUR FIRST MEETING OF THE FALL.

This looks like a very interesting meeting. I am sorry that I won't be able to make it.
ReplyDeleteThis was a great meeting as we learned from a grandchild of pioneering families what kind of conditions young Florida was in during the early 20's.
ReplyDeleteThey had great cattle drives during that day and we learned about the whips cracking, the marsh tacky, and early orange business. Mr. Plowden and his wife Caroline were very pleasant and they presented the new book, "Crackers in the Scrub" to our society Library. It is now on the shelf, please come in and read it on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 1-5 pm or Tuesday night 5=9 pm.
