The Social Security Death Index showed a Ruby Cowart of the right age with a death date of 25 Feb 2000 and a last residence of Dade City.
ReplyDeleteThe Tampa Tribune had the following obituary for February 27, 2000: "RUBY MAE COWART, 84, of Dade City died Thursday at Royal Oak Nursing Home. A native of Suwannee County, she moved to the area 30 years ago from Lutz. She was a homemaker. She is survived by a son, Osben of Plant City; two daughters, Vera Emley of Plant City and Oleta Hewlett of Fitzgerald, Ga.; two half-sisters, Pansey Nobles of Nashville, Ga., and Gereldine Ash of Live Oak; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Home, Dade City."
So this appears to be the right family (except that there's a typo for Veda's name, which is really "Veda", not "Vera").
If this isn't sufficient to locate the 3 children today, I may be able to provide additional contact information.
