Additional Online Databases to be Found at Family History Center

Last Spring, the Family History Centers (FHC) had to drop access to Ancestry.Com, however there were promises of alternative services being provided for customers at the Family History Centers.

The alternative services are now installed on the two high-speed-Internet-access computers at the FHC that our Pasco County Genealogical Society supports with volunteers and our genealogy library collection [i.e. the LDS Church on Ft. King Road.]

The 5 "new" databases are Footnote.com, Godfrey Memorial Library, Heritage Quest/ProQuest, Kindred Konnections, and World Vital Records. They are FHC versions of each database which means they may not provide as much access as a personal subscription to each of them, but access at a reasonable level is provided. When Ancestry.Com was available, it was a limited version. You need to come into the FHC and check them out. You can find the hours the FHC/Library are open at our PCGS website.

The cost is FREE, and the FHC/Library hours are limited (so check the schedule, Wednesday evening is currently very busy).
